They are written for institutions in Kenya and refer to Kenyan law; an institution elsewhere should read them with its own law in mind.
What is where
- Terms and Conditions of License — the license to use the software: one institution per license, no copying, sharing, resale or reverse engineering; the confidential web hosting package; keys and codes; term, termination and remedies; warranty and liability.
- Privacy Policy — what personal data the vendor itself collects (registrations, support, hosted portals and backups, the website) and what the software collects on an institution's behalf; cookies; rights under the Data Protection Act, 2019.
- Data Processing Agreement — for institutions whose online portal or backups the vendor hosts: the vendor as processor, the institution as controller, security, sub-processors, breach notice, retention and deletion.

In the software
Every account accepts the Terms and the Privacy Policy on first sign-in (the Terms & Privacy gate); the sign-in page and the landing page link here. An institution may show its own additional policies to its users through its notice board and documents.
